As the designer, I have been crafting jewelry for most of my life! I absolutely love finding artistic ways to adorn myself with stones. Throughout the years, I’ve constantly had a hard time finding jewelry that aligned with my style (as ever changing as that could be) and often ended up making my own or modifying pieces of my collection for a better match.
I started designing professionally when my alternate career, although successful, couldn’t meet all my needs. I started crafting jewelry again as a creative outlet and the result was an incredible number of beautiful pieces, but never enough time to wear them all.
There are so many ideas to share, and the inventory is building up. So, Veda Lorraine Designs has been established to share the beauty and get these designs out into the world!
What’s in the name?
Veda means Sacred Knowledge and references the Vedic Texts of the Hindu culture. Lorraine is the name of both grandmothers of our designer, one on the paternal side who loved stones and collected rocks 9little gifts from Gaia!), and one on the maternal side who lived a luxurious life loving fine art and jewelry. Our designer inherited her love for stones and jewelry, while growing up in Lake Tahoe gave her a deep appreciation for nature.
